I have an old Colorado QIC-80 tape drive and several tapes that I
would like to get data from.

The tapes were created with an EARLY version of FreeBSD, < 1.0?????

The drive connects to a card that is connected to the floppy
controller. This type tape drive is no longer supported by FreeBSD.

Here is the question: Does anyone know where the OLD ft driver is?
The one that supports QIC 80 tape devices connected to a controller
card in the floppy chain?

Thanks,
tomdean
