Hello,

trying to configure the latest (prerelease) tetex as a normal user under my
account, I get a sudden reboot unfortunately leaving no traces behind. It
doesn't matter, if X is running, and I updated /etc and /dev accordingly.

Checking the configure output by eye I see that it stops at the following line
"checking if getcwd uses fork or vfork",
so it could be that the problem lies somewhere there.

I can provide more information, if neccessary. (Just tell me what you would
like to know.)

Regards, Axel.
