On Dec 27th, I posted a question regarding these messages :

Dec 27 17:35:00 rhadamanth /kernel: pcf0: spurious interrupt, status=0xff
Dec 27 17:35:31 rhadamanth last message repeated 20977 times
Dec 27 17:37:32 rhadamanth last message repeated 83374 times
Dec 27 17:45:00 rhadamanth last message repeated 97714 times

I've since tracked down the cause; they only occur when EsounD (esd) is
running.
Audio output is fine, everything on the box works ok, so just what are
these messages saying ?

Does anybody have any ideas whether this is indicative of some kind of
problem, or whether there is anyway of stopping them other than :
 i) Don't run esd anymore;
ii) Comment out the warning in the code.

Thanks,

Ceri
