well... if you can pick up a generic VLB IDE card that has the 16550s... 
it should work... I'm using a version with the Winbond chip... and it 
works very nicely with my Conner CFA850A (850meg)...  giving me reads up 
to about 1.46meg/sec...  a friend bought one for about $35... hope this
