I'm going to go for easy suggestion... I am using bridged networking 
without issue.  The only issue I have had is that I had to bind it to 
the correct NIC, the inside one in my case as my freebsd box acts as a 
router.  If I bind it to the external, I can't route.

Is this perhaps something you are seeing?
