I changed my fstab back to /dev/wd0a from /dev/wd0s1a and everything works
fine.  I also recommend that you change the variable from the loader
prompt to disk1a with
disk0a > set varable_name_from_show=disk1a
disk1a > load kernel
disk1a > boot

If not I couldn't get dmesg, netstat, top, etc to work.  Your kernel is
thought to be /disk1c:kernel.
