You don't say what resolution you intend to run, but two items to watch
out for are video bandwidth and dot pitch.

A 17" monitor will typically give you a 12.8" x 9.6" screen area.
If you want to run 1280x1024, that translates to pixels that are
0.25x0.24mm - so ignore any monitors that have a bigger dot pitch.

Bandwidth's a more slippery issue, but if you want the vertical lines
to be as sharp as the horizontal ones, you probably want a video
bandwidth that's about 50% greater than your dot-clock.
