Dear experts,

during install of several ports (xemacs20, xalarm, ...) I encountered
a problem with some installed manpages! Sometimes they hava a .so
reference to an uncompressed manpage, e.g.

4551 : zmore /usr/local/man/man1/gnudoit.1.gz
------> /usr/local/man/man1/gnudoit.1.gz <------
.so man1/gnuserv.1

but only gnuserv.1.gz does exist, ergo the manpage is empty. Does
there a policy exist for this problem?

Is it possible to automate a mechanism which checks the manpages and
installs a manpage per hardlink/softlink it it contains such a
reference mentined above?

Regards

Lars
