I configured the ethernet interface in the post-install config with my IP and net-mask, though I didnt know the gateway then. It gave me a warning that I might not be able to access remote machines, but that still dosent explain why it wont even ping the next node in my LAN. The rc.conf file does have some lines, are we looking for something specific here or should I key-in the gateway data b4 expecting anything else ?
