I have being used it for two year on my laptop without any problem,
this configuration is for GVC PCMCIA 10Mbps card.

        config auto "ed" ?
        logstr "Generic PCMCIA Ethernet Card" 
        insert /etc/pccard_ether $device start
        remove /etc/pccard_ether $device stop
