Interesting, since traceroute bases the RTT on the amount of time it
takes between the initial packet sent (see below) and the time it
receives the ICMP port unreachable response.  Yes, I am fully aware
traceroute uses UDP as the default protocol to induce said ICMP.

That said, does the erroneous behaviour go away when using -P tcp?
