The following reply was made to PR ports/27723; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Niek Bergboer <n.h.bergboer@tn.utwente.nl> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, niek@bergboer.net Cc: Subject: Re: ports/27723: New port: misc/birthday - Displays summary of upcoming events (e.g. birthdays) Date: Tue, 29 May 2001 12:33:24 +0200 It's different from calendar(1) in that it allows different advance warning times for all events and in that is distinguishes between birthdays (giving messages like: John Doe is 36 years old in 12 days) and events (Holidays in 8 days). It does have an overlap with calendar, but I think this overlap is not large enough to regard calendar(1) and birthday(1) as the same programs.
