Future of FreeBSD on Alpha is death, but you are missing the signs of times=

- LLVM is about providing a better compiler infrastructure under a BSD-like=
 license. They support FreeBSD and have an Alpha backend.

- The latest versions of GCC are under the GPLv3, which is being avoided by=
 FreeBSD and other projects, at least for the immediate future.

FreeBSD-Alpha bugs may not be specific to FreeBSD, but of course if no one =
cares to report problems they won't get fixed and eventually they will drop=
 support too.
