:
:Take a look at the url I posted at the end of my message.
:A brief description of the problem is that the current bios on the
:laptop recognizes sysid 165 as a FAT suspend to disk option.
:I wasnt aware of this and installed FreeBSD on this laptop.
:Now my problem is that the machine wont boot. It doesnt get past the
:bios screen. I cant boot with anything (the cd drive) as long as the
:HDD is in the machine. I dont know awole lot about flashing bios
:from a cd. The flash update I got from ibm.com was a self exctractor
:that created a floppy on a windows machine. I took the files and burned
:them onto a cd and tried this without the HDD in the machine and it
:would not work.

:
:I dont know a whole lot about network booting. I wonder if this older
:ThinkPad 570 supports it. I assume this should be pretty straight
:forward to setup if its supported?

Take a look at:
http://www.tnpi.biz/computing/freebsd/pxe-netboot.shtml
It explains how to do network booting.
What network device do you have in your lapper ?

:> :If all else fails I

:> :Either way any input at all would be appreciated. :

:>
:> P.S Can you set message wrapping to 72 chars in your sylpheed?
:No problem, It shows that it was set to wrap at 72. I changed it to
:71. See if that make a difference.
