This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0004_01BE6069.11F739C0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable It's possible that I'm missing something as it's 3am and I'm tired, but = I think your site lacks a great deal of installation information. I've just come from using Linux and wanted to try BSD. I went to = freebsd.org I took the "Getting BSD" link and ended up at = http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/install.html I don't have a BSD = distribution on CD so as this page suggests I took the link leading to = ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/3.1-RELEASE/floppies/README.TXT I = load this page to find that it only explains CD and network installs. I then find the link about installing from MSDOS, at the bottom of the = page. It in turn leads me to = http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/handbook15.html#15 This page presumes I = have a BSD CD, and know what's in it's /bin directory. Are there any = instructions for installing BSD from a msdos partition that don't = require me to have a CD?
