Get a promise, abit or siig controller > and use that instead... Yeap, that sounds like the best idea. Right now it is just a gateway - so there has been no really I/O on the drive. I did have some corruption awhile back while using SAMBA - but I did not attribute it to the CMD640 then. I found an older ISA Promise for under $30, I think I will get that. This box is an old Pentium with a 166MMX Overdrive in it. Old SiS customized board too.
