I just installed the Maxtor ata100 PCI controller card. I noticed on the card it said "Promise"; so a Maxtor card is a Promise card. It installed ok and it found it during boot-up except for one problem. It haults because it can't mount to /. I searched the archives and a few people asked the same questions with minimal response. I know there is an answer. Thanks for any input. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
