Do NOT do this. Your symlink will not do what you want.

The Linuxulator will look for files in /compat/linux and if it doesn't find them it will then look in /dev.

If you symlink /compat/linux/dev/cdrom to /dev/cd0a, the TARGET of the symlink will first be looked for at /compat/linux/dev/cd0a -- almost certainly not what you had in mind.

In general, never symlink from /compat/linux to anything outside.
