That's a very good start!  Congratulations.

For natd, you do need some things compiled into the kernel.  If you look 
at man natd, it's pretty strightforward.  Look near the bottom of the 
pages.

I also have instructions on my website.  But are you using ppp?  If so, I 
think you want the -alias option which comes with ppp.  I'm sorry, I can't 
help more than that; I've never used ppp.
