Hello, I just wanted to share a few experiences: For quite a while I've been running the drm-next-4.7 branch on my x1 yoga ( Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U ), and it has been working well, albeit some applications have been very slow, foremost firefox. I thought it was time to experiment a bit so I went to drm-next to get some newer bits. I was surprised that when I tried to use mplayer, it could not use xv any longer, and xvinfo informed me that no adapter was found. Strange. Then I noticed that X was using uxa, so I switched to sna, and voila, I now have xv working again, and a noticeable performance increase. Firefox is way faster, and I even noticed increase in switching desktops in i3. It seems it is time to switch to sna by default. So far it seems reasonably stable, altough letting it sit overnight often leads to a gpu hang, so screen wont turn back on. I noticed that I get drmn0: failed to load firmware image i915_skl_dmc_ver1_26_bin drmn0: Failed to load DMC firmware [ https://01.org/linuxgraphics/intel-linux-graphics-firmwares], disabling runtime power management. during boot, is that intentionally left out? Thanks for the great work so far! Best regards Andreas
