Well, you're tracking the "safe" version, as opposed to STABLE, 
and that could well have a difference. I don't know whether bugs
were found in getaddrinfo() wrt ipv6 and fixed in STABLE or not,
and I don't really have time to search to find out.

You can always do what it said and build python w/o ipv6 support.
