I suspected that you would need something more sophisticated and
unfortunately as you suspected, it doesn't handle (perl) module
loading correctly. It appears to be the same error as the
Apache::AuthenRadius business. i.e.

Syntax error on line 916 of /usr/local/etc/apache/httpd.conf:
Can't load '/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-freebsd/auto/DBI/DBI.so' f
or module DBI: /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-freebsd/auto/DBI/DBI.so
: Undefined symbol "PL_dowarn" at /usr/libdata/perl/5.00503/DynaLoader.pm line 1
69.

 at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-freebsd/DBI.pm line 156
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-f
reebsd/DBI.pm line 156.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/Apache
/DBI.pm line 4.

I didn't read the PR carefully and I'm no perl module expert so its
not completely clear why this is failing and I'm 99% certain we
(well somebody) can do something about it. I'm not certain why
this should be FreeBSD specific either. In fact, one might say
"I'm clueless..". :)
