  Few months ago I have analyzed this problem:
http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=33170
and have proposed two solutions: either fix long-standing kern/6184
(negative seek) bug in -stable or apply my patch to zip port to make it
work.
