Doesn't work for me... looks like mplayer keeps looking at 
~/.mplayer/font/font.desc (and fails if I remove the dir)... which would hint 
TT isn't compiled into mplayer. And this puzzles me since I've compiled it 
with the "WITH_FREETYPE=YES" *and* the configurescript-output tells it will 
compile with freetype support...
