Hello, It looks like this has been mentioned before, but it doesn't seem that any progress has been made. I'd like to go ahead and modify the current cnw driver or write a new one for the AirSurfer Plus cards (these are the 802.11 descendents of the Xircom/Netwave cards). My questions are: 1. Should I work to make this part of PAO? Or is the some other/better alternative? (This question is not a judgement of PAO at all, it's just my ignorance, which I am attempting to assuage.) 2. Any opinions as to wheter or not to modify the PAO cnw driver or to start over? 3. Any examples/pointers? I've done a little kernel hacking, but not a ton. As part of some wireless research projects here on campus, someone else has made the AirSurfer Plus work with Linux: http://ipoint.vlsi.uiuc.edu/wireless/asplus.html Thanks, Jon -- Jon Dugan | Network Engineer, NCSA Network Development jdugan@ncsa.uiuc.edu | 57C CAB, 605 E Springfield, Champaign, IL 61820 217/244-7715 | http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/people/jdugan To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
