The rtc module on that site has a bug that will cause a kernel trap on reboot if you never open the rtc device. The fix is to check for sc==NULL in one spot. See the patch in http://people.freebsd.org/~nsayer/rtc.pat 2. The port on that site does not copy the floppies directory, which is necessary for their vmware tools installation procedure.
