Hi Mark,

Why bother buying a Sparc to learn Solaris? Why not just purchase the x86
version of solaris and bung it on a cheap PC? (Actually, I think both Sparc
and x86 versions come together). It's very cheap too if you only want the
non commercial license. I believe you only pay for packaging and delivery
(30-45 USD). I believe the x86 version is complete with CDE and everything
else. It should be just like the Sparc version. Have a look at

Sparc's are very well made, and very desirable, but the graphics and CPU
performance you get for the money are very poor compared to modern PC's. 

Just my 2p worth.
