Not sure.  Maybe it's hardcoded to use bpf1? :-)

In any case, the more significant question is:

The fstat(1) utility will do what you want:

	fstat /dev/bpf0

> And I guess I can rebuild my kernel to have more than 1 bpf device.

Seldom a bad idea, provided you don't go overboard. :-)
