And after you've read the handbook, I'd follow the advice I saw posted here a while ago that suggests running CVSUP with the tag to get the exact source release you may have already installed. From what I understand, this lets CVSUP take "ownership" of the source tree so that it can edit/delete at will when you actually go to the 2.2.2 or 2.2-stable release. Following that advice saved me hours of troubleshooting that which I don't understand (Thanks JDP!)... And if that is the correct way to do it, could it be added to the handbook entry about CVSUP?
