On Mon, Jun 06, 2005 at 10:29:55AM -0400 I heard the voice of

Well, nobody with any SENSE is    8-}

I doubt anybody in the last 5 years has built a system and put an ISA
soundcard in it. And most newer systems don't even have ISA at all,
anyway. I'd figure it's mostly people like me with older onboard
stuff, or people who pulled an old card out of a box just to have some
sound capability on a box that didn't warrant spending money on.

I didn't even know (well, I _knew_, but I wasn't really conscious of)
mind was on ISA until you reminded me. It always seemed nutty to me
how many onboard peripherals were stuffed on ISA. Even on boards
(like this one) with PCI slots, and even with boards (like this one)
that only have a single shared ISA slot available anyway.

It'd probably be a pretty bad thing to not SUPPORT the ISA cards, but
I wouldn't trip over myself offering amenities to people using 'em.
