I'd also suggest that you should make it as a nss plugin.
There are many differences internally around here between 7-CURRENT
and 6-STABLE.  I have a plan to MFC the resolver and netdb stuff to be
in time for 6.2-RELEASE.  So, I'd suggest that you should make it for
7-CURRENT.
