That's not the same with me. I started out compiling gimp-0.99.28 and it
complained that it needed gtk-1.0.0. I had an older version of gtk
installed so I upgraded gtk via the ports and then recompiled gimp and it
completed successfully. Now I'm happily using gimp-0.99.28.
