hi, i had 4.5 prerelease and tried to go to 4.5 release doing a buildworld. the first time i did it, the buildworld + kernel went ok but the installworld failed with an error about date. The i thought that may be that the date is incorrect and tried to change it, but it seems that the command date does not exist! T# date date: Command not found. then i deleted all /usr/obj and repeated the whole process from scretch but now buildworld fails and it seems it cant find the 'date' command. the error i'm getting from buildworld is: ting osreldate.h from newvers.sh setvar PARAMFILE /usr/src/include/../sys/sys/param.h; . /usr/src/include/../sys /conf/newvers.sh; echo "$COPYRIGHT" > osreldate.h; echo "#ifdef _KERNEL" >> osreldate.h; echo '# error "osreldate.h must not be used in the kernel, use sys/param.h"' >> osreldat e.h; echo "#else" >> osreldate.h; echo \#'undef _ _FreeBSD_version' >> osreldate.h; echo \#'define __FreeBSD_version' $RELD ATE >> osreldate.h; echo "#endif" >> osreldate.h date: not found *** Error code 127 Stop in /usr/src/include. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/src. *** Error code 1 which from what i can see is caused by the the missing date command. at the moment, the kernel is updated so i'm running 4.5 release, but i cant do buildworld. any help would be much appreciated since i' stuck at the moment and i realy dont want to format and do it all from scretch... thanx in advance for your help regards, bernie To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
