Thank you Gerald for resurrecting this ... I was already doing other things

Although it built, the port was actually broken since the GCC5 update due to
libstdc++ incompatibilities. I think we were lucky to be able to split it: =
some
other ports may simply not build.

Sorry for the typos in the commit log. Hopefully the commit itself should be
fine (and I am the maintainer now so I'll have to fix it if not).
