I've been tring to up date my XFree86 from 3.3.6 to 4.2.0 on my FreeBSD 4.4
machine so I can install gdal. I've run cvsup to get the latest and greatest
(then run make install from /usr/ports/x11/XFree86-4) and when it gets to a
certain point, I get the following messages when trying to build from the
ports collection,

Since I'm not that competent with changing makefiles yet, could somebody
help me out with this? Also, is it a pretty dicey process to upgrade from
XFree86 3.3.6 to 4.2.0? I would love to put FreeBSD on my laptop, but the
last time I tried it the behaviour wasn't all that great with XFree86 3.3.6.

Thanks,
Jeff.
