I zapped the message which identified the problem. It looks like
there is a missing 0 or NULL at the end of the defnames[] array
in src/usr.bin/vmstat/names.c.

I made a local mod to mine, and that's the problem. Change line 47
from:

char *defdrives[] = { "wd0", "wd1", "sd0", "sd1" };

to:

char *defdrives[] = { "wd0", "wd1", "sd0", "sd1", NULL };
