Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I haven't seen it on the
list recently, so here goes...

If one installs the XFree86 distribution when using sysinstall to install
3.0-BETA, the package installation is not recorded, causing attempts to
install X11-dependant packages to fail or at least complain (I forget
which). Someone in my building had this problem recently, and I found that
after the main distributions were installed, /var/db/pkg/XFree86-3.3.2 was
missing. Creating it from the emergency holographic shell resolved the
problem.
