The following reply was made to PR kern/61733; it has been noted by GNATS. From: dada@sbox.tugraz.at To: Andy Farkas <andyf@speednet.com.au> Cc: freebsd-bugs@freebsd.org, freebsd-gnats-submit@freebsd.org Subject: Re: kern/61733: panic: resource_list_release: resource entry is not busy Date: Mon, 2 Feb 2004 12:15:17 +0100 Downloading 3c509x2.exe from www.3com.com and reconfiguring the card stopped the panic. However today I got email from a first time user who got the same panic with a very different NIC - a 3CR990SVR97 (Typhoon) PCI 100MBit card, when trying to install FreeBSD 5.2. (BTW he asked me, wether it makes sense to try FreeBSD again and I pointed him to FreeBSD 4.9.) So I guess this is not a problem with the ep driver alone.
