Hmmm... i have followed up a couple of leads on this list; when they were
looking for contractors; and my experience is that there are *a lot* of
people who will take jobs at well below the 'prevailing rate'. In fact,
when i asked the last fellow how the contractor hunt had gone (since he
didn't take me up on my offer) he said he had found someone who would
work *for free*. Hmmph. No way i could compete with that.
