Let's say that I have a external RAID box that looks like a big disk to
FreeBSD. Now, the RAID box supports online expansion. If I expand the
size, the logical disk just gets bigger.

What will FreeBSD do if it discovers that a disk that it is using just
got bigger?

I'd like to be able to use disklabel and create a new partition.

Tom
