KDE 2.2.x DPMS does not work. So, I checked with 'xdpyinfo' that DPMS was enabled. Then checked with 'xset q' to see that DPMS was set up. DPMS (Energy Star): Standby: 300 Suspend: 1200 Off: 3600 DPMS is Enabled Monitor is On >How-To-Repeat: Try to force a DPMS state using, e.g., 'xset dpms force suspend'. [alane ~]$ xset dpms force suspend [alane ~]$ echo $? 0 Nothin' happens, though. XF86Config available upon request.
