When you do, remember iprobe.  It's stunningly useful for profiling.
We profile all our code on alphas.

I've got a small tutorial at:http://www.cs.duke.edu/ari/iprobe.html
The code itself is at ftp://ftp.cs.duke.edu/pub/gallatin/freebsd_iprobe.tar.gz

I'll eventually turn it into a real port when I figure out how the
heck to handle its dependance on libbfd.
