(That's not very friendly or helpful!)

When I ran my test I didn't notice that expat was found at 
distcache.FreeBSD.org. So both the github and sourceforce MASTER_SITES 
were bad.

What identified this port as unfetchable? What is the mechanism you use 
to find ports with this particular problem?

I would think it preferable for port maintainers to proactively fix 
their ports as problems as these crop up.
