I have FreeBSD running on my desk at work. I want to be able to play audio CDs on it. It has an IDE CDROM. I have two sound cards at home that I can install in the system, a Sound Blaster 16 (matcd interface) and an Adaptec 1570. Neither of these have an IDE interface. Can I just get an appropriate audio cable to make these sound cards talk to the IDE CDROM to do audio?
