You should be able to partition without a problem.  I have a 560X with
a 4GB hard drive.  First 2GB is Windows, second is FreeBSD. I didn't do
anything special for this as the BIOS does the translation OK.

I think some of the docs you'll find are a little outdated in this
respect.
