There's no JDK 1.1.4 available for FreeBSD yet (hey, it's been officially 
released by Sun just a few days ago...)

A native FreeBSD port of JDK 1.1 is available at:
http://www.csi.uottawa.ca/~kwhite/javaport.html

You can also use the Linux port at: www.blackdown.org

If you don't need AWT (graphical user interface), you can use kaffe: 
www.kaffe.org
