https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D214518 Bug ID: 214518 Summary: Extremely slow refresh rate in vt on VMware Fusion (EFI firmware) Product: Base System Version: 11.0-RELEASE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: michel@ngelo.eu CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Booting FreeBSD 11-RELEASE into a VMware Fusion virtual machine set to use = the EFI firmware leads vt to be "very slow" while showing kernel messages. Latecy returns within acceptable limits when the shell comes up. To reproduce: 1. Create a new VM in VMware Fusion 2. Edit the .vmx file within the VM directory and add the line firmware =3D= "EFI" somewhere. 3. Boot from the amd64 ISO disc1. To be clear: BIOS is the default for a new VMware Fusion VM for a FreeBSD h= ost. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
