That is also the exact message you get if you are running behind a
semi-wireless (Apple Airport Base Station) gateway.

Apple's Software update 1.3 fixes the problem, but breaks /etc/resolv.conf
in a big way when a FreeBSD box is connected to the Apple hardware.
