So does that mean that Token-Ring is not supported? As far as I can tell,
the IBM NIC is the only token-ring card that is still sold.

The SMC card seems to have been a popular one (at least on our campus).

I really like FreeBSD, but does this mean I need to go to some flavor of
Linux for Token-Ring support (and if so, which flavor would you suggest)? I
really hate the thought of setting up NT on those boxes (which, of course,
has drivers).

Thank again for your help,
Doug

| Most of the NICs I'm working with are legacy SMC 4 mbps ISA bus cards.

If the cards are Tokencard Elite (8115T), then no luck.

| I also have one new IBM 16/4 PCI Management Adapter.

There is no ready to use driver for that card.
