i just noticed this one:

root@miranda ~ # uname -mrs
FreeBSD 4.0-19991111-CURRENT alpha
root@miranda ~ # tail -n 1 /etc/master.passwd
+:::::::::
root@miranda ~ # pwd_mkdb -p /etc/master.passwd
pwd_mkdb: no uid for user +
pwd_mkdb: at line #19
pwd_mkdb: /etc/master.passwd: Inappropriate file type or format
root@miranda ~ #

it does not happen on FreeBSD/i386 compiled from -current
sources - changing the nis line to

  +::*:*::::::

makes pwd_mkdb happier - but not me :-) ... is that a known
problem ? do others have it too ?

thanks in advance

t
